Three New Videos on Kickstarter
Plus more information about Amazon's algorithms.
Hey there, Igniter!
I’ve paused the billing on this Substack until at least the beginning of 2022 so I can catch up on offering value on it. I’ve been thinking about how to use this mailing list better, and while I have some ideas, nothing solid is coming through at the moment. I’ll give plenty of notice if I unpause it, but for now, if you had a paid subscription, you should be able to access all the paid posts and you should not be billed for October, November, December, or January at the least.
Today I wanted to share a bunch of content about going wide with your work on Kickstarter! My co-author Russell Nohelty and I have been recording videos about Kickstarter for our new book, Get Your Book Selling on Kickstarter. We’re so excited for this book and are putting all of our best stuff into it, along with celebrating and launching the book over on Kickstarter right now. We’d love for you to check it out:

These videos are fantastic, and you can watch the first several here:
We will be adding new videos to this playlist all month, and Russell and I have recorded a bunch of awesome stuff that gives away so much about book launches, finding fans, Kickstarter, and more.
The Plan for the Aggressively Wide Newsletter Going Forward
I’ve written several books over the last few months that are relevant to this group of authors. They are in the Book Sales Supercharged series and available at retailers in ebook right now. I’ll be adapting some of the content from those books for this newsletter, but I’ll also be mixing in stuff about Kindle Vella, Kickstarter, Patreon, and more.
While I believe all of my books are really high quality and chock full of interesting information, one of my favorites that I’ve recently written is called Get Your Book Selling on Amazon. This book explores Amazon's algorithms from the perspective of a WIDE author (looking at permafree, preorders, sales price points like $0.99, visibility, and more). The book is incredibly useful for all authors, but it shines in looking at the places that wide authors care about, where other books leave off or don't cover.
The book has been such a hit with the early readers so far that I’ve already been offered a paid speaking gig about it, and I’m adding an abbreviated version of the content to my 20Books Vegas talk this year (called Transitioning From Exclusivity to Wide). (P.S. I’m also on the PNR panel, which I’m excited about!)
But if you are not attending those events, I’ve also decided to create an online workshop called Amazon Algorithms and Advertising as an early bird perk to our Kickstarter!
It only costs $1 to attend as long as you back our Kickstarter campaign before October 7th at 9am Eastern. The regular price is $97.
The other cool thing about this is that we are doing weekly perks for this campaign, so if you back early you will get allllll the other perks as well, plus whatever else we throw in there before the campaign ends. Please, don’t miss out on this. The details are below:

I’m going back to my regular posting schedule of 2-4 times a week for this list, so if you are feeling overwhelmed, make sure you create a separate folder in your inbox and read through these regularly.
Talk to you soon,
Monica Leonelle
